Cycle Training Cornwall was set up in 2007 by Jackie Eason, with Phil Keymer joining the team in 2015. Emma Roberts and Andy Brook also work with us. Jackie and Phil are both based in Wadebridge. Emma lives in the St Austell area, and Andy near Padstow. As qualified cycling instructors and coaches, we are also first aiders and DBS checked. Needless to say, we're all pretty keen cyclists ourselves!

Cycle Training Cornwall instructors
Phil Keymer Phil loves cycling on the roads of north Cornwall and for him, the only thing better than flying down a hill on his bike, is climbing up another hill on his bike!
He got into cycle instructing because he loves teaching his own kids to ride. Phil joined Jackie at Cycle Training Cornwall in 2015. He is a National Standard Bikeability Instructor, a Balanceability Instructor and a British Cycling Level 2 Cycling Coach. He is also a Cycling UK Local Representative. He very much enjoys riding with his family, and also with Wadebridge Coasters Cycling Club. |
Jackie Eason MBEFor Jackie, the best thing about cycling is the freedom and fitness that it gives you, and spreading the joy of cycling is her passion.
She's been involved in cycle training since 2000, managing our scheme and delivering Bikeability training in most of the Wadebridge and Bodmin schools since 2007 when she set up Cycle Training Cornwall. Jackie also works as a British Cycling instructor tutor and a Department of Transport quality assuror. These roles give her lots of opportunities to review cycle training all around the county, steal the best bits and bring all the fun back to Cornwall! |
Other instructors
Jackie and Phil sometimes need a few extra pairs of hands to deliver cycle training further afield or to larger groups. That's when we call upon our very excellent instructor friends:
Emma ROberts![]() Emma runs It's All About The Bike. She is a Bikeability Instructor, a British Cycling level 2 MTB Cycling Coach, and a MIAS Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader.
She is passionate about Mountain Biking and really all things cycling related! She enjoys encouraging other women to get out on their bikes and regularly leads British Cycling Breeze rides for ladies in her area - for all levels of riding. She is also a Balanceability Instructor and has a great collection of balance bikes of all sizes to help people get started – whatever their age! |
Andy BrookAndy has had a passion for sport all his life. He is a qualified PE Teacher and coaches numerous sports in local primary schools.
Andy's love of cycling started 10 years ago after a serious knee injury ended his football playing days. Since then he has become a Bikeability Instructor and level 2 British Cycling Coach. In particular he enjoys the thrill of teaching children how to ride and make their first solo cycling journeys. Andy is also a very active cyclist, competing in time trials and leading club rides for Wadebridge Coasters Cycling Club. Finally, in his spare time, he is a maths tutor (if you're interested)! |
